Mini Camps 2020

Mini Camps (Ages 5-13)
Mini Camps are designed for students’ ages 5-13 years old and offer a daily or weekly enrollment option. Students are divided into age appropriate groups and participate in both visual and performing arts activities that are inspired by a weekly theme. DAC provides a fresh fruit snack. If your camper has food allergies to fruit, please pack a snack. Please pack your camper(s) a lunch (no refrigerator or microwave available).

Puppetry (Rising Kindergarten – 13 years old)
9am – 3pm, drop-off begins at 8am
June 12, June 29 – July 2, August 10 – 14, August 17 – 21
Puppetry is one of the oldest forms of storytelling and uniquely crosses all cultural and linguistic barriers. It has been used for thousands of years as a way to pass down ancestral lore, teach allegories, provide entertainment and add meaning to ceremonies. Setting objects in motion is the heart of puppetry, but it can come in many forms – from shadow puppets, to masks, to marionettes – all bringing together both the visual and performing art forms. Join us as we explore this exciting world!
Weekly: $180 ($170 per additional child or same household)
Daily: $40

Explore the culture of Durham! The Afternoon Adventures program includes visits by extra special artists and performers as well as field trips to fun local destinations.
