Ocean Exploration
Did you know that about 70% of the Earth is covered with water? This makes Earth incredibly special as it is the only planet with water on its surface. Most of the water on Earth can be found in the five oceans, which are home to millions of plant and animal species uniquely adapted to life under the surface – some create their own light sources miles down, some ride deep currents thousands of miles. For centuries people have been exploring the ocean; using it to navigate to new worlds, to catch food, to harvest minerals and resources, as a source of folklore and artistic inspiration – and scientists are still finding new secrets that our oceans hold! Come and explore this uncharted territory with DAC!
