Session D has been great so far! Our visual campers are exploring different ways to make art with found objects! They have been making some beautiful embroidery projects.

Session C has come to an end and Session D is off to a good start! We had a great performance! Here is a look back at some highlights…

Our teens also finished up their camp and showed some beautiful drawings.

After a busy day of amazing art, Ms. Sara and Baba Stafford were ready to relax!


Rainy Wednesdays

We are fighting the gloomy skies today at the DAC. Our performers are lighting up the stage!

Our trip to the Farmer’s Market include lots of goodies!

Week 2

Week 2 has been great so far! Our visual campers are working on decorating glass bottles.

The entire camp is singing the camp song!

Afternoon Adventures rounded out the day with a visit from a local bagpiper, Joe Brady. He taught us about the bagpipes, the history, and of course the kilt!

Busy Thursdays

We have had a very busy Thursday at DAC! Our campers have been creating and rehearsing all day. Our performance track campers are digging into to their dances, songs, and the play.

Our visual campers are making masterpieces!

Our drawers and painters are pulling their ideas together to fill the mural. They have their paper laid out for inspiration!

The afternoon adventurers met local painter Will Thomas. He shared his amazing work with us and held a Q&A with the campers!

Come to the Cabaret!

We are back for another week of cultural camp! We have hit the ground running and we are learning all about cabaret. Our visual campers are decorating tiles made of clay.

Our drawing and painting class is studying some new subject matter to create their next art works.


The dancers are listening as Ms. Jessie critiques their performance and they try out some new techniques.

Afternoon Adventures had the pleasure of meeting Latin artist Rafael Osuba. Rafael spoke about his work and helped the campers find their inner artist!

It is time to create!

Another fun day as we explore Durham during our July 4th week camp!  The campers are continuing to create beautiful artwork  and later our Afternoon Adventurers will head off to the Scrap Exchange to stock up on some creative reuse supplies.
